2017 Qualcomm 4G/5G summit, Neoway Enables Connectivity
2017 Qualcomm 4G/5G Summit was held in Hongkong between October 17th to 18th. At this Summit highlighting 4G and 5G, Qualcomm showcased its latest products and technologies and also provided a platform for developers, partners, and carriers to communicate.
5G is approaching, 5G networks will be launched commercially in 2019
Qualcomm announced that it successfully achieved a 5G data connection on Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X50 5G modem chipset for mobile devices. Additionally, Qualcomm previewed its first 5G smartphone reference design for the testing and optimization of 5G technology within the power and form-factor constraints of a smartphone. The Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem family is expected to support commercial launches of 5G smartphones and networks in the first half of 2019.
New Technologies are extending mobile ecosystem
IoT market will be next chance of technologies. Each IoT company launches customized terminals for different IoT segments, such as wearable, sensing devices, smart city, and energy metering. eMTC and NB-IoT being deployed commercially will extend the mobile ecosystem with its low consumption and extended coverage features.
