The International Conference on China Urban Water Development is supported by multiple ministries of China and international organizations, such as the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and International Water Association (IWA). The conference is hosted by the China Urban Science Research Association, related academic organizations, and local governments. It is the academic and technical exchange summit and industry product and brand exhibition event with the highest academic level, the largest number of participating companies, and the most extensive participation around the world in China's water treatment industry. The conference has been held annually since 2005, and has been held for 14 sessions in many cities in China. The conference has become the most important academic innovation exchange platform in the field of comprehensive treatment of urban water affairs and water environment governance. The International Conference on Expo of New Technologies and Facilities is held concurrently with the International Conference on China Urban Water Development, and annually attracts about 400 companies to take part in the exhibitions.
